A successful VMworld 2014 for OnX

It’s been a busy summer! OnX Enterprise Solutions had a great VMworld 2014 with a well-attended Customer’s Welcome Event and well-received presentation on what’s new in End User Computing. VMware made many major announcements, but the one that created the most stir was VMware’s EVO:RAIL product.

EVO:RAIL is VMware’s entry into the Hyper Converged Infrastructure market, which ships in the second half of 2014 and will be offered by EVO:RAIL certified hardware partners, and available for resale by OnX. VMware also announced OpenStack on VMware, as well as, a rebranding of vCHS (VMware Cloud Hybrid Service) to vCloud Air. VMware also committed to bringing all products to market with an as-a-Service option running on vCloud Air.

VMware’s Stephane Asselin and I received great feedback on our presentation “EUC1289 – What’s New in End User Computing: Full Desktop Automation and Self-Service,” which carries on the great work our OnX team is doing with our customers. We had over 370 people attend the talk.

Not only was our session well attended, but also we received lots of support for our most recent publication “VMware Horizon Suite: Building End User Services.”
