Featuring Dr. Fahad Razak
Dr. Fahad Razak is an internist at St. Michael’s Hospital and Vice President for Vital Health System and Data Innovation at Unity Health Toronto. He is also a Faculty Affiliate at the Vector Institute, Provincial Clinical Lead at Ontario Health and Canada Research Chair in Data-Informed Health Care Improvement at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Razak co-founded GEMINI, Canada’s largest hospital research network, which today supports a community of more than 1,000 scientists and health system leaders. He is now co-leading its expansion into VITAL, a pan-Canadian health data platform designed to enable healthcare research, innovation and the responsible use of health data at national scale.

During the session, Dr. Razak will share the story behind GEMINI, the vision for VITAL and what this next phase of health data and AI innovation could mean for Canada’s healthcare system.
The presentation will be followed by a Q&A led by Dr. Jenya Doudareva, OnX.
Dr. Doudareva brings more than 15 years of experience across artificial intelligence, consulting, healthcare and life insurance, with expertise in data governance, AI enablement and enterprise transformation. Her work focuses on helping organizations establish the strong data foundations and responsible AI guardrails required to move from AI ambition to practical, scalable adoption.
