What is NMSO?

NMSO, or National Master Standing Offer, is essentially an offer from a named supplier, to provide, when and if required, goods and/or services to the Government of Canada, at already negotiated terms and prices. Standing Offers are typically used by the Government to meet their recurring needs for a variety of items including IT Hardware and Solutions and Professional Services and Consulting.

The Standing Offer is designed to save time and money in the procurement of goods and services. It allows a particular Government department, for example, Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC), to effectively budget their needs against known, pre-determined costs and supply chains. This system saves tax payer money by helping to ensure lower administration costs and greatly reduces the need for Government departments to carry inventory.

When the Canadian Government “calls up” a Standing Offer, they deal directly with an organization like OnX Enterprise Solutions Ltd., who has already achieved status with NMSO.
