| Sheldon Pollack, Director With partner Phil DeLeon, Sheldon founded OnX in 1983 with a mere $10,000 in start-up capital. Today OnX Enterprise solutions has revenues approaching $200M and offices throughout Canada, in the United States and the United Kingdom. Sheldon is a serial entrepreneur – starting his first venture at the ripe old age of 16 and founded OnX at the age of 21. Throughout his career, Sheldon has played an active role in starting/funding a number of successful internet ventures. Sheldon and Phil took OnX public in April 2000 and subsequently re-privatized the company in April 2009. Sheldon is active in the community, playing a “champion role” with AbilityOnline.org, a charity dedicated to providing a safe social networking experience for children with special needs. Sheldon was highlighted as one of Canada's Top Entrepreneurs in Alan Gould’s book “The New Entrepreneurs; 80 Canadian Success Stories”, and in 2000, Sheldon was named as finalist for the Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year awarded by Ernst & Young. In 2008, OnX Enterprise Solutions was named as one of the 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada. Sheldon is married and has three children. |
